Alix Boillot

Alix Boillot is a French artist working between France and Italy. She creates sculptures and performances, all of which have in common the quest for a certain side of our humanity - romantic, mystical, playful - which is attached to that which has no other value than the one we attach to it.

During her residency at the Fondation Fiminco, Alix Boillot will continue her research on water, on its perpetual movement that irrigates our imaginations, our myths, our cultures and our religions, and on its modern disenchantment. Following on from her residency at Villa Medici, she intends to use a variety of media to engage local communities and explore new techniques.
