Ankur Yadav
Ankur Yadav is an Indian artist and researcher based in Behror. His practice reflects diverse forms of subsistence in the face of oppression and hierarchy. Whether it is the practices of extractive capitalism, colonial knowledge structures, or regional ideology and politics, he constructs an alternative perspective and dialogue to question them.
During his residency at the Fondation Fiminco, Ankur Yadav wishes to explore mediums in connection with natural elements such as sand and stone. His research involves the study of literature, folk tales, art, songs, superstitions, and myths. His work aims to promote sustainable ecological narratives and address global challenges such as climate change by exploring the representation of nature and our relationship with it.
