Anna Tomaszewski
Anna Tomaszewski is a Franco-Polish artist. In her work she develops an approach to sculpture through different mediums such as photography, video, sound and performance. She draws her inspiration from the natural entropy that she sets in a new context by displacing existing spaces towards other eco-systems and other scales. By probing the gap between the known and the imaginary world, she unearths ruin-objects that become catalysts for new spaces and new fictions. In 2014, she was awarded the Prix de la jeune creation (Prize for young creation) by the city of Nice and she enjoyed a one year residency to produce the exhibition Ma at the Galerie de la Marine. Selected for the Jeune Creation fair in Paris in 2013 at the Montrouge fair in 2016, her work has been exhibited in different galleries in Paris such as Villa Belleville in 2019, the gallery 22.48 m2 in 2018, the gallery Cetraro in 2015. Anna Tomaszewski has also exhibited her work in art centers such as the Villa Arson in Nice (2018, France), the Ciap de Vassivière, Île de Vassivière (2019, France), the contemporary art space Les Roches, in Le Chambon sur Lignon (2019, France) and at the Kunstwerk Carlshütte in Büdelsdorf (2019, Germany).
