Asareh Akasheh

Asareh Akasheh is an Iranian-born visual artist based in France. Her work explores the “Body” through papermaking and printmaking, using body prints and molds to capture presence and absence. She deconstructs and reconstructs the body into small, repetitive fragments, transcending medium boundaries through long, process-driven creation. Asareh has held nine solo exhibitions in Poznan, Paris, and Tehran, participated in over 50 group shows worldwide, received the Golden Award from Haus des Papiers, Berlin (2024), A French Institute grant at Cité des Arts, Paris (2020), and participated in the Beijing Biennale (2012).

At Fiminco, Asareh Akasheh will develop “Empreintes d’ombre,” using body prints and molds of both architectural structures and the human body, combining them and extending 3D molds onto 2D paper. Through this process, she offers a new understanding of perspective and spatial relationships, emphasizing presence, absence, and careful study of forms in relation to each other and to the materials.
