Corinna Gosmaro
Corinna Gosmaro is an Italian artist, born in 1987, she lives and works between Paris and Rome. Her work reflects on the timeless characteristics of the human being intended as a cultural and global entity. Her practice moves on the border between painting and all the other media where cultural paradigms, domestic scenarios, and evocation of landscapes converge in the creation of a proxemics universe that highlights the loop in which we find ourselves organized. In 2016 she is artist in residence at Viborg Kunsthal in Denmark and in 2017 is the winner of the fifth edition of the 6Artista prize, promoted by Fondazione Pastificio Cerere in Rome. In 2018 she is at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in order to carry on Trigger, an ongoing research project born at the beginning of 2017, on the possibility of retracing the entire evolutionary and cultural history of the human being through the study of the perception of death. In 2018 she is the winner of the Talent Prize. In 2020 she is again at the Cité Internationale des arts in Paris, this time with Trigger III: KHIPUS, and she wins the Italian Fellowship at the American Academy in Rome with the project Trigger II: The Gebelein Canvas.
