Emma Cogné

Emma Cogné (b. 1993, Segré-en-Anjou Bleu) is a French designer based in Brussels. Working across textiles, architecture and craft, her practice explores the social and material structures that shape domestic and shared spaces. She is particularly interested in collective forms and the ways we inhabit them, approaching ornamentation as a politics of detail and care. Through DIY processes and assemblage, she develops a context-sensitive practice grounded in the resources at hand, turning real-world constraints into opportunities for experimentation. A graduate of ENSAV La Cambre, she has taken part in several international design fairs and has exhibited at institutions and events including the MK&G Museum, TAMAT, the Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne and CID Grand-Hornu.
