Faezeh Zandieh
Faezeh Zandieh (born in 1993, Iran) is a painter and printmaker based in France. She first studied architecture before fully dedicating herself to painting, which has become her main practice. Faezeh works in painting, printmaking, and occasionally video, exploring the emotions and everyday behaviors of contemporary humans, with a particular focus on the forces and relationships that emerge between members of a body and between individuals. Her works have been exhibited in prestigious international art spaces.
In 2022, she moved to France thanks to a scholarship from the French Embassy and the Bloukian Foundation, and in 2023, she received the Khor Art Prize. During this residency, she wishes to give form to her ideas about the relationships between human beings and the forces circulating between bodies, using printmaking and painting with a touch of improvisation, in order to reveal the dynamics and tension of these interactions.
