Inara Bagirova

Inara Bagirova (Ukraine, 1979) is a visual artist from Kiev. She studied visual arts with the artists Alexei Kolesnikov and Larissa Rosova. She developed her artistic practice around plastic productions that assert a unique visual language that distances themselves from any constructed discourse, whether ideological, social, personal, or mythological, to which the work is attached. Over the past 11 years, she has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. Among these are Birth of tragedy in the spirit music in Kiev; The power of IT and the life of a genius at the Spiritual treasures of Ukraine museum; Significant Otherness in Berlin; Kyiv-Tbilisi – transit of the Vanda Gallery in Georgia, or Art Vilnius in Lithuania. Forced to leave her home country because of the war with Russia, Inara arrived in France in 2022, she is a member of the Atelier des artistes en exil.
