Jenna Marvin
Jenna Marvin is a multidisciplinary performance artist exploring the relationship between body, space, and public visibility. She relocated to France in 2022 due to the war in Ukraine, where she continues to develop her artistic practice. Her work has been presented at Poush, the Atelier of Artists in Exile, as well as in exhibitions in Milan and Turin. She collaborates with Michèle Lamy, including on the 2024 Venice performance Be the Change. In 2023, Jenna was featured in the documentary Queendom (dir. Agniia Galdanova), which focused on her public performances and activism. The film was shortlisted for the Oscars and received a Peabody Award in 2025.
During her residency at the Fondation Fiminco, Jenna Marvin will develop The Homunculus Sutra, a trilogy of short films exploring the transformation of the body in contexts of war, isolation and misinformation. Her research will focus primarily on body movement, choreography, material experimentation and scenographic design. This interdisciplinary project will combine performance, cinema and art installation.
