Jisoo Yoo

Jisoo Yoo is an artist based between Lille and Pantin, whose practice combines drawing, installation and performance. In her work, things usually thought to be solid - in both the physical and psychological sense - become fluid, inconstant, ephemeral and ghostly. She is interested in all the barriers - as notion and as form - inherited or erected by our received ideas. She reconstitutes fragile, unstable and ephemeral familiar spaces, making them appear and disappear by moving them through different locations, or trying to inhabit these ephemeral and fragile spaces to explore the notion of momentary identities.

During her residency at the Fondation Fiminco, Jisoo Yoo intends to work on a transmedia work, integrating digital elements into her practice. She will explore our everyday movements, using capture technology translated into 3D images, experimental videos and 3D prints. This immersive installation aims to question our habits and perceptions, revealing the latent patterns of our daily lives.
