Liên Hoàng-Xuân

Liên Hoàng-Xuân is a French-Tunisian artist born in 1995.  Her multi-faceted practice, comprising sculptures, videos, immersive installations and engravings, questions the way in which collective history, particularly colonial history, impacts on individual and emotional trajectories.

During her residency at the Fondation Fiminco, Liên Hoàng-Xuân will develop her current series of hybrid sculptures of machines and vehicles, metaphors for subjectivities wandering in fictional geographies. She will also continue her video-fictions exploring the televisual aesthetics of her native countries, as well as her "haikus": a series of gilded woodcuts in the style of a sentimental logbook.
