Magali Saby

Magali Saby is a professional actress, dancer and choreographer. She has spent fifteen years working internationally on inclusive artistic projects that promote the professional recognition of artists with disabilities. This marked the beginning of an international career that has taken her from Paris to Indonesia, via Germany, England, Belgium, Scotland, Greece and Turkey. She has danced for Jérôme Bel, Perrine Valli, and Sylvère Lamotte, among others.

Determined to raise awareness, she founded Be Together Académie, an inclusive arts education institution, and All Moov, an inclusive arts company, to promote artistic inclusion and facilitate better professional integration for artists with disabilities.

 

During her residency, Magali Saby will work on her next creation, combining dance, circus, new magic, technological innovations and live music. Starting with a solo piece, she will explore various ways of moving, revealing both the limitations, the infinite and unexpected possibilities of the body, drawing inspiration from an experience she had 24 years ago: a fourth-generation helium balloon used as a balancing orthosis to restore balance in people with motor impairments.
