Maxime Laguerre
Maxime Laguerre sees his work as social and humanistic. His artistic reflection focuses on various historical and social issues that he would like to explore in the Greater Paris region.
During his residency at the Fondation Fiminco, Maxime Laguerre wishes to develop these questions in an exchange between the street and the studio, inviting the inhabitants of Romainville and the Île-de-France region to take part in creative moments at the studio, through research into the photographic image, the archive, memory and identity. As part of her desire to share and exchange with local residents, she is keen to invite people far removed from the art world to join her in artistic projects. This thirst for encounters is also motivated by his street photography, an approach whose main subject remains the human being, leaving room for spontaneity in his relationship with the city and with others.
