Our residences

Mollie Burke

Mollie Burke, born in 1990 in Vancouver (Canada), lives and works in Paris. Her practice explores the invisible systems that govern our lifestyles, and revolves around the emerging tension between control and freedom.

Through sculptural and pictorial experimentation, she seeks to represent the emotional space that emerges between the public and the private: the external structures that shape our lives and the inner resonances of our thoughts, psychologies and affects.

Her installations and pieces combine a variety of media, including glass, metal and fabric. Through her productions, she evokes the idea of a paradox: the co-dependence between the fragility of the human spirit and the forces of economic, virtual and social architectures.
