Romain Lecornu
Romain Lecornu graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris. The starting point of his work is the land and he draws the subject matter for his installations from materials collected at different stages of mutation, gleaned throughout his wanderings in nature and the city. His use of waste, plastic, polystyrene, or even heavy metals reflects the state of the Anthropocene era in which, according to Romain Lecornu, a block of polycarbonate resin has the same value as marble. In 2017, he took part in the Jeune Création (or Young Creation) fair in Pantin, as part of the Thaddeus Ropac gallery, in 2018 he exhibited his work at the Collection Lambert in Avignon (France), at the Dust Gallery in Bogota (Colombia), and at the Rencontres d’arts at Chateau du Fey in Villecien (France). In 2019, his work was exhibited at Lieu-Commun in Toulouse (France), and at 23 rue de Lille in Paris (France).
