Sarah-Anaïs Desbenoit

Sarah-Anaïs Desbenoit is a visual artist and director, graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure d’arts de Paris Cergy since 2020, and currently at Fresnoy, national studio of contemporary arts in Tourcoing. Fueled by long-term research – developed in particular during a residency at the Thighmert Oasis in the Moroccan desert and a stay at the Villa Kujoyama in Japan – his work focuses on the mechanisms of appearance and disappearance of images and their influences on memory and cognition. By creating miniatures, but also by using video, projection and sound, she wishes to create installations that invite meditation and slowing down.
