EXHIBITION

ART SITUACIONS III

29th February - 7th April 2024

Curators: Jade Barget, Daisy Lambert, Camille Martin, Céline Poulin & Elsa Vettier

For the 40th anniversary of the Frac, the aim is both to rethink the institution’s history, written in particular through its collection, and to look towards shared and desirable futures.

After Portugal and Italy, the ART Situacions exhibition is now in France, at the Fondation Fiminco in Romainville. For its third edition, the touring exhibition brings together the work of five Spanish artists and five emerging French artists.

In keeping with the wishes of ART Situacions founder Pilar Forcada, the exhibition promotes a meeting of artists to revitalize the contemporary scene. In a world standardized by globalization, the artistic landscape has suffered the consequences. In response, ART Situacions creates a meeting point between emerging European artistic cultures that were once hermetically sealed off, to bring two visions into dialogue. Imagine a world in symbiosis, where the body enters into movement with its space, where the digital merges with the organic, where the laws of nature are subject to the hands of man. The aim is to introduce solutions for a world that has been destroyed but is constantly changing. New narratives are offered to you, giving you the keys to reclaiming our world.
