The ONCEIM and the Coax Orchestra, two extraordinary French musical ensembles, are joining forces with one hundred amateur practitioners to create a groundbreaking collective experience that grants each participant maximum freedom for creativity.
This ambitious participatory project, with a variable structure, brings together professional and amateur musicians to create a sonic composition based on hands-on workshops using a wide variety of instruments and objects. The Orchestre de Nouvelles Créations, Expérimentations et Improvisations Musicales (ONCEIM) – made up of thirty-four instrumentalists under the direction of Frédéric Blondy – and the Coax Orchestra – composed of eight instrumentalists – represent the professional contingent, while one hundred individuals participate on the amateur side. The result is a truly unprecedented orchestra that prioritizes collective play while allowing each member to express their own creativity. A unique experience, both humanly and artistically.
