LUCARNE 2025-2026

Paysages intérieurs et imaginaires

The LUCARNE programme is the result of a collaboration between the Fiminco Foundation and the Seine-Saint-Denis Departmental Education Services to provide arts and cultural education programmes for schools across the Seine-Saint-Denis department.

As part of the project Paysages intérieurs et imaginaires (Inner and Imaginary Landscapes), artist-in-residence Asma Ben Aissa worked with an ULIS class (Localized Units for School Inclusion) from Georges-Politzer Middle School in Bagnolet, exploring a variety of textile practices. Throughout the workshops, the students worked with recycled fabrics, which they transformed through dyeing, sewing, and embroidery. Together, they created artworks evoking landscapes inspired by both inner and imaginary worlds.

The final presentation took the form of a collective installation in the school courtyard, attended by the students and teaching staff. This event gave the students the opportunity to bring together their individual creations and compose a collective artwork, forming a landscape that was both personal and shared.
