Serigraphy initiation

Serigraphy and fanzine

In collaboration with the Bobigny University of Technology, the Fiminco Foundation invited Maxime Laguerre to work with 3rd-year students in the Multimedia and Internet Design program to design a collective cover for a fanzine. These editions bring together the students' individual works around personal themes.

During the first meeting, the students met Maxime and discovered his work, which combines street photography and silkscreen printing, and frequently takes the form of editions and fanzines. Based on his practice and publishing projects, participants were able to draw inspiration from his work to define printing formats and binding techniques.

The second session was dedicated to an introduction to screen printing. Students experimented with this printing technique, testing different colors and going through a series of practical trials to refine their final aesthetic choices.

The third and final session was dedicated to finalizing the prints and binding the fanzines, including the cutting, folding and assembly stages.

The project was presented at the end of February 2025 in the form of a presentation at the Bobigny IUT. The editions will be available for consultation during the Fabrique artists-in-residence exhibition, between April and June 2025.
