MICRO-FOLIE
Since March 2021, the Fondation Fiminco has been home to a Micro-Folie. It is built around a digital museum in collaboration with twelve institutional partners. This is a cultural policy initiative supported by the French Ministry of Culture and coordinated by the La Villette park.
What is a Micro-Folie ?
The digital museum provides access to cultural and artistic content for a wide range of audiences. Tablets, video projections and virtual reality headsets are just some of the fun, technological tools available to help visitors discover the masterpieces of the world's greatest cultural institutions. La Micro-Folie offers a wide range of accessible and welcoming activities, including a Fab Lab and a games library.
Our actions
The Micro-Folie is open to all, including schoolchildren, people with disabilities, adults looking for work and families. The Micro-Folie offers a wide range of themes, bringing together art history, social issues and the cultural programme of the Fondation Fiminco.
In 2021, the Fondation is launching a system for taking the Micro-Folie on the road in local facilities (libraries, conservatories, etc.). Organised in partnership with Est Ensemble and local structures, our modular Micro-Folie can be integrated into existing spaces during special events.
As of October 2023, the reception area at the Chaufferie has been revamped to host the Mercredi Folie events, a place for everyone to meet, relax and enjoy every Wednesday. The Micro-Folie programme is deployed every week, offering mini-conferences, a listening and show-viewing area.
